«Ich würde wieder aus Überzeugung am tsc studieren!»
Beim Jubiläumstreffen 2021 des Theologischen Seminars St. Chrischona beantworteten zwei Absolventinnen und drei Absolventen die Fragen von Online-Redaktor Markus Dörr. Er wollte von ihnen wissen, welche Lernerfahrungen aus dem Studium sich nach 20, 30, 40, oder 50 Jahren Dienst bewährt haben, an welchen tsc-Moment die Alumni gerne zurückdenken und wie sie das tsc heute erleben.
Vor 40 Jahren wurdest du ausgesendet vom tsc, was machst du heute?
Ich bin seit gut 16 Jahren in Hamburg tätig. Und zwar bei einem diakonischen Träger für Kinder- und Jugendhilfe und auch Eingliederungshilfe (Arbeit für Menschen mit Behinderung). Bei uns arbeiten über 200 Menschen, meist Erzieherinnen oder Sozialpädagogen. Ich bin unter anderem für das geistlich-theologische Profil der Großstadt-Mission zuständig.
Welche Lernerfahrung aus dem Studium hat sich in deinem Dienst bewährt?
Ja, der Gott des Alten Testaments ist derselbe Gott, der heute wirkt. Die Gesellschaft verändert sich und ich glaube, Gott entwickelt sich mit uns. Es stimmt wohl, was der Evangelist Klaus Vollmer gesagt hat: «Gott ist gerne jung.» Gott ist in Bewegung und wir dürfen uns mit ihm weiterentwickeln.
Dein tsc-Moment?
I remember the mandatory labor service back then. The greenhouse was being rebuilt, and I repainted the heating pipes with my East Frisian friend. Many other tradesmen’s signs were attached to the construction fence. We confidently designed a sign ourselves and hung it up. It read: «Schulte-Broers Painting Work.» The then Chrischona administrator apparently didn’t find that very funny and quickly had the sign taken down. Looking back, I miss the lightheartedness and humor that went with it.
Wie erlebst du das tsc heute? Hat sich da etwas gewandelt?
Yes, I noticed that 15 years ago when I was last here. A different spirit prevails here—the spirit of change and renewal. In my opinion, the leadership team is constantly working to adapt the training to the current challenges in the congregations, but also in society.
